On 25th March 2025, Healthwatch Tower Hamlets attended a Physician Response Unit (PRU) observer shift based at The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, East London.

The observer shift provided an opportunity to witness how the PRU team functions and conducts their off-site consultations of vulnerable patients in their homes.

On the 10th of April, Healthwatch Tower Hamlets representatives attended the Bangladeshi Eid Mela at the Sundial Community centre. It was an opportunity for us to engage and interact with the Bangladeshi community, it was a successful and lively event.

This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the pharmacy rota, detailing which pharmacies will remain open and their adjusted schedules, allowing you to access vital services throughout the Easter break.

On 30th January 2025, Healthwatch Tower Hamlets attended the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) Award Ceremony at the Tower Hamlets Council Town Hall.

Organisations and individuals were awarded and celebrated for their incredible contributions that makes a difference in the community. This event was attended by two Tower Hamlets staffs, two interns and a work placement student.

The Award categories are as follows;
Volunteer of the year
Young volunteer of the year
Voluntary group of the year - Small / Medium/ Large voluntary group of the year
Lifetime achievement award

On 25th February 2025, Healthwatch Tower Hamlets attended the PLACE (Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment) 2025 Appreciation Event at the Soft FM Centre of Excellence Training Centre – Royal London Hospital.

PLACE assessments provides motivation for improvement by providing a clear message, directly from patients, about how the environment or services might be enhanced.

The event was attended by a Tower Hamlets staff, three volunteers and an intern. The event was successful, impactful, enlightening and interesting. Certificates were given to various patient accessors who have supported and volunteered for several years, some healthcare practitioners also got certificates as well. Various charity organisations were present and they promoted their services to the guests after the appreciation segment was over.
