- Healthwatch Tower Hamlets ran a survey between June to July 2026, inviting local residents to share their views on the topics and issues within the local health and social care services that currently matter to them.
- We collected feedback through an online survey and in-person during community engagement events to maximise and diversify our reach

The feedback from this survey will be used to support the development of our research projects that we may carry out with the aim of improving people's health and wellbeing.
We will release a report highlighting the findings in due course.

Surveys
Research Study: Experiences of Asylum System
The National Centre for Social Research are currently undertaking a research study funded by the Home Office.
In the current phase, they are hosting 60-90 minute interviews with people who are disabled and have experience of having sought asylum in the UK. These interviews can be held through a phone call, video call or in person.
Participants will receive a £40 shopping voucher. Information is available in a number of languages.

AFK – We Mean Business Programme
AFK, a charity working with disabled people, has launched We Mean Business, a self-employment programme for young people aged 18 to 25 with disabilities and autism.
The programme offers tailored one-to-one or small group support including workshops on becoming self-employed, mentorship, help developing and presenting a business plan, sector-specific research support, and access to AFK's business school to trial ideas.
